AboutUs1

Ngurratjuta is proud of its ethical work practises, and aim to returning the greatest possible percentage of the sale to the artist. The Art Centre is proud of its close association with DesArt. Desart is a members based organization for those Art Centres professionally managed to ensure ethical support for the production marketing and distribution of authentic Aboriginal art. 100% of the returns go directly to Aboriginal families or organizations. These Art Centres are a vital part of remote community life in Central Australia.

About Us3 Artist campThe Art Centre endeavors to offer their artists the best care and opportunities possible. The artists who chose to paint on site at the Centre participate in trips to local galleries and day trips out bush. Ngurratjuta is happy to be involved in the Larapinta Creative Camps, where the Arrarnte artists join the visiting artists for a day of creativity in the river bed at Two Mile. Where possible the Art Centre also assists their artists to travel interstate to attend exhibitions that feature their work.

Marilyn Armstrong who is one of our prominent artists and also a Ngurratjuta board member says of the art centre: It’s a place where we can sit and talk together about the dream time and learn from each other
