Artist Talk

Want to know more about Aboriginal Art?

We offer the opportunity for groups to receive a guided tour of the art centre that includes a talk about the different types of artwork available and background on our artists. Artists of the Art Centre, who live locally, are happy to share their knowledge and experiences with visitors. An aboriginal artist will give a brief overview of how the Art Centre was started and the changes that have taken place since the first idea. The artist will share some of the stories and meanings of the symbols used in the art works. The artist will offer the opportunity for the visitor to gain a greater understanding of the Central Desert culture and the value of the art sector for local communities. You also have the opportunity to browse and purchase our wide selection of paintings and authentic aboriginal artefacts.

Cost: $40 per person

Booking: Required – 2 days in advance (confirmation based on Artist’s availability)

Duration: Allow at least 1hour for the talk, question time and a general viewing of the Art Centre
